    Reward Solutions Specialist

    Purpose of the Job    

    • The purpose of a Reward Solutions Specialist is to deliver accurate, compliant, and market-aligned reward solutions through the application of established reward frameworks, policies, and governance standards.
    • The role provides analytical and operational reward support across the reward lifecycle, including market benchmarking, data validation, job evaluation participation, and preparation of advisory insights that enable internal equity, external competitiveness, and regulatory compliance across the Group.

    Job Objectives    

    Reward Strategy & Framework Application:

    • Apply the Group’s reward strategy, policies, procedures, and frameworks across assigned reward processes and deliverables.
    • Ensure consistent alignment with governance standards, remuneration principles, and business objectives.
    • Prepare draft advisory inputs, variance explanations, and supporting documentation for review by senior reward practitioners.

    Market Research, Benchmarking & Job Evaluation:

    • Conduct market research and support remuneration and benefits design through the use of approved survey providers.
    • Perform job matching to external remuneration data sources and coordinate survey submissions, uploads, and validations.
    • Participate in job evaluation activities using approved methodologies, providing accurate inputs and documentation under guidance.
    • Compile benchmark summaries and identify anomalies for escalation and review.

    Reward Analytics, Data Management & Reporting:

    • Maintain clean, accurate reward data through structured validations, reconciliations, and quality checks.
    • Analyse remuneration and benefit data to support internal and external equity assessments.
    • Build, update, and maintain standard reward reports, dashboards, and analytical models to support management and Remuneration Committee decision-making.
    • Prepare standard input packs and reporting outputs for leadership and governance forums.

    Pay Structure & Reward Cycle Support:

    • Support the development, maintenance, and administration of pay structures and scales in line with approved frameworks.
    • Provide operational support during merit, bonus, and incentive cycles, including eligibility checks, data uploads, reconciliations, and reporting.
    • Assist with incentive and retention initiatives where required, under guidance from senior reward practitioners.

    Stakeholder, Operational & Administrative Support:

    • Respond to reward-related queries and provide operational support to People Business Partners and People Support teams.
    • Coordinate reward-related activities with Payroll, Benefits, Finance, and Compensation Execution teams to ensure alignment and delivery accuracy.
    • Provide structured administrative support, consolidation of research inputs, and preparation of reward documentation and communications.

    Governance, Compliance & Risk Management:

    • Apply reward governance standards, policies, and procedures accurately and consistently.
    • Ensure reward data management processes comply with legislative, privacy, and audit requirements.
    • Maintain clear documentation, audit trails, and version control for all assigned deliverables.
    • Proactively identify and flag risks, data issues, or non-compliance for escalation.

    Continuous Improvement & Future-Fit Contribution:

    • Identify opportunities to improve reward processes, templates, tools, and reporting efficiencies.
    • Support standardisation and optimisation of reward delivery across the Group.
    • Contribute to the effective flow of work across People solution areas and adoption of enabling technologies.

    Qualifications    

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Economics, Industrial Psychology, or related field – essential.
    • Professional accreditation (e.g. GRP, SARA) – advantageous.

    Experience    

    • +5 years’ experience as a reward solutions specialist or similar role, with exposure to benchmarking, job evaluation inputs, and reward frameworks – essential.
    • Experience within FMCG, retail, or a similarly complex environment – preferred.

    Knowledge and Skills    

    • Proven practical experience will be considered where a formal qualification is not held.
