Risk Control Officer - Molteno at RCL Foods

• RCL FOODS is looking for an incumbent to direct and coordinate all Risk Management aspects and activities. Develop, implement and management of risk control programmes in accordance with SHE legislation

Minimum Requirements    

• Grade 12
• NDip : Safety Management OR Completed SAMTAC qualification
• Min 3 years experience in a production/manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001

Duties & Responsibilities    

• Conduct work place and job specific hazard analysis to identify potential SHE hazards, determine the risks associated with these hazards and develop and implement appropriate risk control measures
• Evaluate the effectiveness of risk control measures and recommend changes
• Conduct internal SHE audits, participate in external audits and make recommendations to management in terms of SHE legal and other requirements
• Coordinate the development, implementation and management of a standardised integrated SHE Management system as per ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 standards
• Manage internal and external audits
• Ensure fire prevention and emergency procedures are identified and implemented
• Incident investigation
• Arrangement of environmental surveys and implement corrective action
• Assist with compliance to OHSAS regulations and legislation with the objective to ensure that all reasonable and proper measures are taken to protect the safety and health of employees
• Increase SHE awareness at all levels
• Coordinate or conduct training of personnel in areas of safety
• Organise emergency evacuations training on a regular basis
• Keep filing system up to date
