Risk Officer - Riverfields DC at TFG (The Foschini Group)

Key Responsibilities: 

• Assist in the implementation and monitoring of health and safety policies and procedures.
• Assist Risk Manager in facilitation of and conducting risk assessment and site audits specific (HIRA).
• Facilitate site inductions (OHS training in the Distribution Centre).
• Ensures that the site meets its statutory obligations in all areas pertaining to Occupational health, safety and welfare at work, including statutory training and reporting.
• Compile daily, weekly, monthly and events-based reports for risk and safety management reports. 
• Ensures Machinery safety in collaboration with engineering and maintenance teams.
• Reviewing & updating TFG OHS files and Distribution Centre boards.
• Support the development and delivery of health and safety training programs for employees.
• Participate in incident investigations and assist in the preparation of reports.
• Help maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training.
• Collaborate with various departments to promote a culture of health and safety awareness.
• Assist in the preparation of safety communications and materials.
• Ensures that contractors doing any work on sites meet all TFG contractor management standards, policies, and regulations.
• Conduct applicable inspections. 
• Assist the Site Risk Manager in all site security related duties. 

Qualifications and Experience:

• Suitable qualification in Health & Safety or related field.
• SAMTRAC & HIRA Qualifications would be advantageous.
• Technical Qualification in any of the following fields: CCTV; Intrusion & Fire Alarms and Access Control Systems.
• Proven experience in Health & Safety or similar position would be advantageous.
• Experience in reporting and emergency response planning
