Risk Specialist at Flash Group

The Risk Specialist will be responsible for assisting the Risk Department in driving the Risk Management Strategy by embedding a Business Resilience Culture and assisting business by acting as 2nd line of defence.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• 3+ years as a Risk Specialist or similar role
• Relevant Tertiary Qualification
• An understanding of Risk Management Methodologies and Governance Principles is desired
• Background in regulatory compliance (advantageous) 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Establish the context of the business;
• Perform Risk and Threat Assessments;
• Perform Business Impact Assessments;
• Facilitate the build of Business Continuity Plans and conduct annual reviews workshops;
• Interact with Tech teams to drive alignment between the DR Plan and Business requirements;
• Assess and raise risks and threats that emerge from workshops;
• Monitor the implementation of action plans to address risks
• Conduct workshops with Business owners and interrogate results;
• Alongside Internal Audit, ensure regular audits are performed on high risk areas identified
• Advise/consult on projects and new product development to bring a proactive risk management focus into new business initiatives.
• Facilitate the testing of Business Continuity Plans & Crisis Management Plans;
• Assist with building best practice frameworks
• Educate and ensure business heads understand their own accountability for risks in their area
• Assist in reviewing Risk Appetite & Tolerance
• Build risk awareness amongst staff by providing support and training within the company
• Drive a resilient culture and embed risk management and business continuity
• Train business on new Risk Management System
