Job Description

• We are seeking a qualified and registered Safety Officer to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations on-site. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe working environment, implementing safety policies, and ensuring adherence to legal requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Registered with SACPCMP (non-negotiable)
• Relevant Health & Safety qualification
• Proven experience as a Safety Officer (preferably in construction / manufacturing / industrial – adjust if needed)
• Strong knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety legislation
• Good administrative and reporting skills
• Ability to work independently and enforce compliance
• Own transport (if site-based – add if applicable)

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations
• Conduct site inspections and risk assessments
• Implement and monitor safety policies and procedures
• Maintain safety files and documentation
• Investigate incidents and compile reports
• Conduct safety training and toolbox talks
• Ensure proper use of PPE on-site
• Liaise with management regarding safety compliance
