The CA Trainee Programme at Siemens Energy is a three-year learnership designed for candidates with an accredited post-graduate qualification in Accounting (CTA). Trainees will be trained and assessed according to the SAICA CA 2025 framework, which emphasizes ethical values and the integration of technical and professional skills. The program includes rotations in various functions such as tax, risk and internal audit, controlling, and commercial business units, tailored to meet individual training needs while fulfilling SAICA and business requirements. This approach ensures a balanced exposure to both theoretical and practical management aspects across different disciplines.
How You’ll Make An Impact
Plans, prepares, and consolidates balance sheet and P&L statements according to relevant accounting standards (IFRS, GAAP, local standards).
Prepares reports for division or support function management.
Prepares annual financial statements for various entities and branches.
Analyzes and evaluates assets and liabilities.
Cooperates with vendors and clients to reconcile account statuses.
Stays updated on internal guidelines and external accounting standards; prepares and presents training.
Reviews and updates published guidelines relevant to the company.
Issues and implements new accounting guidelines.
Investigates project and ad-hoc queries from divisions and support functions.
Provides support to colleagues in other African countries.
Assists corporate units with specialized reporting required by headquarters (e.g., ADSTAR reporting).
Plans and prepares budgets and forecasts for corporate units.
Captures budget and forecast data into Spiridon and ESPRIT.
Prepares technical accounting papers for complex transactions and IFRS interpretations.

Completed BCom Accounting Honours (CTA) or equivalent
Passed the Initial Assessment of Competence (IAC) board exam
