    Sales and Product Specialist, Critical Care, (English Speaking Africa), Johannesburg, South Africa

    Position Objective

    The Getinge Critical Care (CC) product line comprises the Flow family of anesthesia machines and the Servo family of ventilators, together with associated accessories and consumables. The sales and support model is via distributors outside South Africa in the Rest of English Speaking Africa, also known as RESA or the indirect market.

    The Sales and Product Specialist (S&PS) is the owner of the product line and the one who coordinates between Getinge business units and distributors and end-users in the indirect countries.

    Essential Duties And Responsibilities

    • Travel at least one week per month within the RESA region to support distributors in their customer activities, prioritizing direct customer interaction
    • Engage with distributors on a daily basis to ensure Getinge portfolios are prioritized
    • Regular business reviews with distributors
    • Prepare and execute annual country action plans
    • Prepare and execute annual product plans
    • Prepare monthly rolling order/sales forecasting
    • Day-to-day sales functions with distributors, including assistance with product configurations, pricing, checking of quotes, provision of marketing material, etc.
    • Focus on projects and future potential in the markets
    • Ensure good knowledge of markets and market dynamics
    • Arrange training for distributors and customers (sales and technical)
    • Ensure that training records are accurate and updated quarterly
    • Maintain the market, product, and distributor databases
    • Work with internal reporting tools

    Qualification (Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities)

    • Prepared to travel extensively within the region
    • Graduate, Bio-Medical Engineer preferred but not essential
    • Minimum 5 years experience within sales environment / Medical Devices Industry/managing distributors
    • Knowledge of anesthesia machines and critical care ventilators will be an advantage
    • Must be fluent in English and have excellent communication skills
    • Must be able to confidently present products and solve problems (independent thinker)
    • Microsoft Office skills should be excellent
    • Able to learn clinical aspects of the role
    • Previous experience in the markets will be beneficial
