    Sales Coordinator

    POSITION SUMMARY:
    The purpose of the sales coordinator will be to strengthen incremental sales revenue growth with new and existing customers through phone based nurturing of long lead time projects and qualification of marketing driven campaigns, sales engineer and service prospecting as well as driving our local share of wallet initiative. Apply the use of value selling techniques to support Hach South Africa in retaining our current database of customers. Cultivate a positive relationship with the regional sales team and lead generators to sustain key performance metrics and regain targets by region. Assist internally during the quotation, order and audit process.

    Role And Responsibilities

    • Make a minimum amount of outbound/inbound phone calls to customers within our database
    • Support effective lead follow-up activity within the region
    • Prospecting and cultivation of key accounts; direct accounts and new competitive business as defined by the region
    • Opportunity funnel management - conduct weekly follow-up communications with internal and external shareholders
    • Establish relationships with core teams (Marketing, Sales, Service, Finance, and Logistics)
    • Demonstrate results and key learning’s to improve the quotation generation process
    • Generate quotations and assist Regional Sales Associates with Sales Administration tasks
    • Follow up on sales quotations that are held up in the approval process longer than 48 hours
    • Manage Hach Share of Wallet initiative and report on key metrics

    BACKGROUND & SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

    The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications, experience, and background to perform effectively in the role:

    • 3-5 years sales and/or new business development prospecting experience
    • Bachelor’s degree (preferred in Technical field, Communications, or Marketing)
    • Selling technical or industrial products preferred
    • Problem-solving competence with explaining technical solutions and applications
    • Leadership experience with pre-sales support and customer communications
    • Proficiency with CRM systems (preferably Salesforce.com), data integrity, and MS office applications
    • Self-motivated with a high attention to detail and ability to multi-task
    • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
    • Passion and social skills; genuinely motivated to drive sales growth monthly with innovation and building crucial relationships with customers and team members
    • Positioned to have fluid and professional conversations while building upon product knowledge to articulate benefits with new and existing customers for all technologies
    • Results/process oriented by sharing a proactive approach and resourcefulness to lead timelines, analyze priorities, and deliver consistent focused actions
    • Willingness to change directions frequently in the spirit of continuous improvement to be effective daily and monthly
    • Experience overcoming objections and converting interest into high qualified regain opportunities

    PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE & MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    • 3-5 years sales and/or new business development prospecting experience
    • Bachelor’s degree (preferred in Technical field, Communications, or Marketing)
    • Selling technical or industrial products preferred
    • Problem-solving competence with explaining technical solutions and applications
    • Leadership experience with pre-sales support and customer communications
    • Proficiency with CRM systems (preferably Salesforce.com), data integrity, and MS office applications
    • Self-motivated with a high attention to detail and ability to multi-task
    • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
    • Excellent organizational competencies with attention to detail.

    EDUCATION:

    • Bachelor’s degree (preferred in Technical field, Communications, or Business Administration)
    • Analytical Chemistry or related Instrumentation/process control will be plus

    LANGUAGE CAPABILITY: English
