    Talent Acquisition Coordinator/ Bursary Fund Administrator

    Role Purpose / Summary

    • This dual-role position is responsible for coordinating end-to-end recruitment operations and managing the full student bursary lifecycle. The Talent Acquisition component focuses on delivering a smooth candidate and hiring manager experience while maintaining data integrity and reporting accuracy. The Bursary Fund Management component oversees budgeting, governance, and administration of bursary and learnership programmes to support talent pipelines and Skills Development objectives.
    • This role suits a detail-oriented, service-minded professional with strong coordination, stakeholder management, and compliance skills.

    Key Responsibilities

    Talent Acquisition Coordination (≈50%)

    • Requisition & Pipeline Management: Open and manage requisitions in the ATS; post roles to job boards and social channels; maintain talent pools and pipelines.
    • Scheduling & Logistics: Coordinate interviews across time zones, manage assessments, organize panel interviews, and candidate travel (if applicable).
    • Candidate Experience: Serve as the primary point of contact; ensure timely communication and status updates; support offer logistics and pre-boarding.
    • ATS & Data Integrity: Maintain accurate candidate records, notes, and stages; ensure compliance with POPIA and internal retention policies.
    • Assessments & Checks: Coordinate psychometric testing, technical assessments, background checks, and references with approved vendors.
    • Reporting & Metrics: Produce weekly dashboards (time-to-fill, pipeline health, source-of-hire, candidate NPS, DEI progress).
    • Employer Branding Support: Assist with careers page updates, talent marketing content, recruitment events and campus engagements.
    • Vendor & Panel Coordination: Liaise with agencies, job boards, and interview panels; track spend vs. budget.

    Bursary Fund Management (≈50%)

    • Budgeting & Reconciliation: Manage bursary budgets, forecasts, and disbursements (tuition, accommodation, textbooks, stipends). Track spend and variances monthly.
    • Application & Selection: Run application cycles, shortlist candidates, schedule interviews, coordinate academic verification, and maintain fair, auditable processes.
    • Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with universities and internal line managers; align bursary fields of study to workforce planning.
    • Compliance & Audit Readiness: Maintain accurate records for internal/external audits; ensure documentation meets B‑BBEE verification and SETA reporting requirements.
    • Learner Support & Development: Onboard bursars; track academic performance; coordinate mentorships, vacation work, work-integrated learning (WIL), and absorption pathways.
    • Contracts & Administration: Prepare bursary agreements, manage renewals/terminations, and ensure adherence to milestones and service commitments.

    Site Planner (12-month Fixed Term Contract)

    • The Site Planner is responsible for the delivery of project planning and progress measurement, ensuring that Hatch procedures and best practices are applied, as appropriate, and recommending changes to the Project Controls Manager where required. The Project Planner is responsible for developing and maintaining the project master schedule to meet the project objectives.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Safety

    • Have a strong personal commitment to safety

    • Embrace Behavioral-based safety ethos
    • Take personal responsibility for stopping any unsafe behavior as and when it occurs, and thereafter reporting the safety incident so that corrective action may be obtained
    • Have/gain familiarization with Hatch safety processes, protocols and procedures.

    FEL3 data verification and Project set-up

    • Meet Functional Managers to finalize FEL4 project set-up schedule (using standard template)
    • Conduct interactive planning meeting with Functional Managers to finalize project implementation schedule
    • Confirm level 1and 2 project schedule and critical path and set baseline for project implementation phase
    • Confirm and refine FEL4 level 3 scheduling (incl. early works and understand schedule basis).

    Project master schedule development

    • Confirm and refine FEL4 level 3 scheduling
    • Identify and schedule critical vendor data requirements
    • Populate approved measurable commodity quantities and labor to produce baseline S-curves
    • Participate in project schedule risk analysis and include resultant contingency in baseline
    • Maintain FEL4 schedule basis
    • Using progress reports (early and late curves) and project schedule (level 3 baseline); maintain, optimize and monitor progress. Identify and resolve issues
    • Develop FEL4 level 3 commissioning schedule
    • Analyze contractor level 4 schedule and provide recommendations.

    Project schedule monitoring and updates

    • Generate and verify weekly updates and issue progress reports
    • Maintain and optimize schedule, monitor progress, highlight and resolve schedule issues
    • Generate all progress curves
    • Develop and maintain commodity and resource profile
    • Extract and publish four-week look ahead schedule
    • Monitor slippages and critical and near critical paths and discuss with Project Controls Manager for resolution
    • Establish all equipment/ material and contractor ROS (Required on Site) dates
    • Provide schedule input to the procurement bid process including reporting requirements and vendor and contractor milestone dates
    • Assist with bid evaluation and ongoing management of the vendors and contractors with respect to their schedule commitments.

    Project trend and change management

    • Once a change is approved, maintain and optimize the schedule, monitor progress and highlight/ resolve areas of potential concern.

    Project progress measurement and earned value

    • Generate and verify weekly updates and issue progress reports
    • Obtain progress info via progress reports, EPCM status report, vendor progress report and cost report and calculate progress for construction packages

    Qualifications and Experience:

    Essential

    • Tertiary qualification in engineering or other relevant discipline or appropriate substituted experience
    • 8-15 years experience as a planner in a multi-discipline project environment
    • Sound technical knowledge in a multi-discipline environment
    • Knowledge of the estimating and tendering processes
    • Knowledge in the use of Primavera Project Planner P6
    • Technical overview of work methods and techniques
    • Risk management principles
    • Good knowledge of project management principles
    • Knowledge of forms of contract will be a definite advantage.

    Preferred

    • Interpersonal and good communication skills in the areas of both written and verbal communication
    • Computer literacy (MS Office package)
    • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines

    Site Electrical Engineer (12-Month Fixed Term Contract)

    • The Site Electrical Engineer supports the Engineering Manager and provides on‑site technical assistance during construction, installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems. This role focuses on field engineering support, coordination with contractors, ensuring compliance with specifications, and resolving technical issues that arise on site. The Site Electrical Engineer ensures that the electrical scope is delivered safely, to the required quality, and in line with project schedules.

    Key Responsibilities

    Site Execution & Technical Support

    • Provide daily technical support to construction teams and contractors.
    • Review and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and layout documents for on‑site execution.
    • Conduct field inspections to verify that electrical installations meet design, quality, and safety standards.
    • Respond to and resolve site queries (RFIs), coordinating with the design office when needed.
    • Support testing, pre‑commissioning, and commissioning activities for electrical equipment and systems.
    • Assist with troubleshooting electrical issues encountered during installation and commissioning.

    Planning, Documentation & Controls

    • Maintain and update on‑site electrical scope of work documents as construction progresses.
    • Monitor contractor progress and provide feedback to ensure schedule adherence.
    • Support the development of electrical construction and commissioning plans.
    • Ensure that engineering deliverables such as drawings, datasheets, and specifications are correctly implemented on site.
    • Assist with the implementation of Engineering Work Packages (EWPs) related to field activities.

    Coordination & Communication

    • Participate in daily/weekly site coordination and progress meetings.
    • Liaise with other engineering disciplines, construction teams, procurement, and commissioning personnel to resolve interface issues.
    • Ensure effective communication between site personnel and the design office for technical clarifications.
    • Assist in conducting design and constructability reviews.

    Quality, Safety & Compliance

    • Ensure electrical installations comply with OHSA requirements, project safety rules, and electrical safety procedures.
    • Participate in risk assessments, toolbox talks, and safety meetings related to electrical activities.
    • Ensure proper application of switching, isolation, and lock‑out/tag‑out procedures.
    • Conduct quality checks, audits, and inspections in line with the project’s Quality Assurance Plan.
    • Promote ethical and professional engineering practices on site.

    Qualifications and Experience

    Essential

    • BSc/B.Eng in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
    • Minimum of 5–10 years’ experience in electrical engineering on construction or site‑based projects.
    • Experience working on large multidisciplinary industrial/mining/infrastructure projects.
    • Strong understanding of construction, installation, and commissioning processes.
    • Ability to interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and standards.
    • Good understanding of interdisciplinary interfaces and construction sequencing.
    • Knowledge of electrical equipment technologies used in large projects.
    • Strong communication, coordination, and site problem‑solving skills.
    • Understanding of procurement, contracting, and construction workflows.
    • Familiarity with HSEC standards and site safety requirements.

    Preferred

    • Experience mentoring junior engineers or technicians.
    • Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and contractors simultaneously.
    • Previous experience applying project engineering procedures and quality workflows.
    • Strong client‑focused approach and ability to interact confidently with site stakeholders.
