Description
Delta-v’s mission is to accelerate the growth of international B2B FinTech and SaaS companies. We build and manage BDR & SDR teams from our base in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town. Our customers include high growth FinTech companies in the US, UK, and South Africa.
This role is an opportunity to take ownership of Delta-v’s sales delivery function. You’ll get to build and manage high-performing Sales Development teams for multiple international SaaS companies and get exposure to a range of sales motions. You’ll learn how to apply our internal methodology for hiring, training and coaching sales teams that consistently outperform. As we grow, your role will evolve into managing the managers who lead the various teams.
About the role
You'll be responsible for building and managing the SDR / BDR teams that we build for our customers. This will include:
Hiring, coaching and managing teams of Sales Development / Business Development Reps
Developing the sales, product and industry skills of each team member
Reporting on team and individual results
Identifying and make recommendations for improvement in the areas of Process, Technology and Sales Craft
Requirements
Essential skills and experience that you’ll bring to the role:
University degree
5+ years B2B sales experience, selling complex services or products (ideally software)
2+ years experience managing a sales team of junior sales people
2+ years outbound sales experience that’s included cold calling
Consistent track record of achieving quota/sales targets in previous sales roles where you were an individual contributor
Constant focus on learning and improving your sales skills (you should be a sales nerd)
The following skills would be advantageous but are not essential:
Experience using tools and software such as Outreach or SalesLoft
Previous experience in FinTech, EdTech, SaaS, or AI environments
