    Sales Manager

    Responsibilities

    • Accountable for achieving revenue and gross profit targets by selling services and solutions to new clients within the assigned industry vertical.
    • Identifies, wins and manages sales opportunities to ensure a robust pipeline is developed with new and existing clients.
    • Creates and maintains capture plans for target clients and opportunities. - Creates and maintains account plans for assigned clients.
    • Actively searches for new clients and/or services within the assigned vertical industries and in line with the client segmentation plans.
    • Effectively manages prospect and/or existing client relationships to ensure continuous business development.
    • Develops and promotes strategies to sell solutions to new and or existing clients utilising problem/needs-based selling techniques.
    • Cross-sells Expleo Services including consultancy, training solutions and third-party tools.
    • Ensures that the relevant systems are updated with accurate and timely information.
    • Ensures that all client engagements have the appropriate contractual and commercial cover.
    • Owns and manages the 'Work in Progress' situation on all accounts.
    • Supports finance to manage the recovery of debt from assigned clients.
    • Rigorously qualifies all opportunities against target criteria.
    • Actively promotes value propositions into agreed client base.
    • Creates and maintains executive calling plans.
    • Creates and maintains accurate pipeline/sales forecasts.
    • Responsible for closure plans for all opportunities within the agreed territory.
    • Contributes to Expleo’s thought leadership and innovation initiatives through market trend analysis.
    • Works in collaboration across all Expleo functions to contribute to the development of new service lines and bundled Expleo solutions.
    • Facilitates the roll-out of Expleo service methodologies and frameworks within area of responsibility.

    Qualifications

    Essential:

    • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience

    Desirable:

    • Additional course or certification in Sales
    • MBA or equivalent experience
    • Management certification or qualification

    Skills

    • Has achieved trusted advisor status at a senior level with the client.
    • Excellent client facing skills, as an expert in their field has experience of influencing client decision making and direction, takes time to establish underlying needs of client beyond those initially expressed.
    • Applies insight, originality and a broad perspective to generate revolutionary technical solutions.
    • Experience of introducing new concepts or strategies that significantly improve or revise the way business is done through to implementation.
    • Excellent communication and presentations skills, maintains confidentiality, shares ideas and information, facilitates discussions and transfers knowledge to diverse audiences to achieve collective objectives.

     

    Experience

    Technical:

    • 10+ years of extremely successful sales experience within relevant business industry, within progressively more complex sales environments.
    • Proven track record in business development within strategic accounts.
    • Successful sales experience within a complex and lengthy decision-making process/sales cycle.
    • Experience in identifying, winning and managing strategic client business.
    • Experience in organising and managing the end to end sales process for large, complex opportunities.
    • Excellent knowledge and understanding of the IT services industry.
    • Understanding of commercial and contractual complexities of IT outsourcing.
    • Previous experience in a professional services engagement framework.
    • Demonstrates understanding of quality service offerings including quality assurance, quality engineering and business solutions.
    • Proven record of achieving individually assigned sales quotas and targets.
    • Experience in achieving new and/or account acquisition targets.

    Management:

    • Good people management skills. Acts as a role model for continuous learning and development. Challenges others to reflect and learn.
    • Experience of managing people and creating an environment that celebrates both successes and failures.
    • Good self-management. Takes on high commitments and works to achieve results. Keeps momentum going over time despite setbacks, showing resilience in the face of challenges and looks for ways to beat previous standards.
    • Experience in managing up-wards with multiple people, gaining their trust quickly.

    Budget:

    • Ability to manage own expenses and ensure adherence of others to the expense policy.
    • Proposes project specific requirements to be included in the budget.
    • Proposes investments to be made in the POC, R&D, tools and technologies.
