    Sales Manager Pigs & Poultry SA and SADEC

    Job Description

    • The Sales Manager is responsible for coordinating and implementing a Pig, Poultry and Aqua sales strategy with focus on Veterinarians and producers, as well as managing the sales team to achieve or exceed the agreed sales objectives within the limits of the allocated expense budget.
    • Our Territory Representatives interact face to face with our customers, understand their needs and consult to offer the right solutions. We work collaboratively in Field Sales Teams and play a critical role in supporting our customer centric business model.

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Provide technical and product support to the sales persons and clients, together with the relevant product manager.
    • Achieve sales as per agreed target.
    • Develop and coach the sales team.
    • Control all administration functions relating to sales management.
    • Ensure desired margins are maintained.
    • Maintain close contact with suppliers for continued product support and new developments.
    • Develop the sales forecast/budget and strategy for the areas in line with the business potential for the areas
    • Implement marketing strategies in order to achieve sales objectives for the area.
    • Recruit, train and develop a highly skilled and motivated sales force to ensure functioning at full potential.
    • Monitor and evaluate performance on a routine basis and implement appropriate corrective actions.
    • Manage sales force effectiveness through CRM tool.

    Experience
    Education, Experience and Skills required

    • Sales experience and sales management experience of at least 5 years with related sales and management training courses.
    • Experience in the field of intensive / production farming (Poultry and Swine advantageous).

    Education

    • Matric with a tertiary qualification in the agricultural, veterinary field or marketing.

    Skill and Management Training

    • Sales Management.
    • Personnel Management.
    • Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
    • High proficiency in Presentation skills.
    • Data analysis experience would be advantageous.
    • People Development.
    • Negotiation skills.
