A results-driven Sales Manager is required to lead growth across the heavy duty manufacturing sectors regarding petroleum related products driving business development supported with a strong technical insight.
You will manage a defined portfolio, pursue new opportunities across related industrial markets, and deliver high-quality customer service. The role also requires managing pricing inputs and working closely with technical, supply chain, and credit teams to meet customer needs.
Success requires commercial acumen, a hunter mindset, strong negotiation skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work independently. Reliable transport and frequent travel are essential.
Qualifications
Diploma or Degree in a technical discipline (Mechanical or Chemical Engineering preferred)
Strong knowledge of fuel and oil products, fuel systems, boilers, and industrial installations
Solid understanding of petroleum processes and related industry systems
South African citizen with own reliable transport
Experience
Minimum 5 years’ proven success in Sales, Business Development or Technical Sales within the oil, lubricants, or boiler manufacturing sectors.
Demonstrated ability to retain and grow key accounts while securing new business
Experience negotiating, structuring, and managing supply agreements and pricing frameworks
Hands-on exposure to equipment installations, logistics, and basic supply chain operations
Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, and building a sustainable sales pipeline
