    Sales Operations Manager - Waste I Pretoria

    Job Description

    • Our client is an established, asset-backed integrated waste management group operating across collection, recycling, landfill and organics. We are looking for a Sales Operations Manager to join their team.

    This role is central to bringing structure, control and commercial discipline to the sales engine by:

    • Creating reliable, evidence-based forecasting
    • Accelerating deal progression through disciplined pipeline management
    • Protecting margin and revenue quality
    • Removing execution friction between sales and operations
    • Building scalable, repeatable growth processes

    Responsibilities

    Sales Force Performance

    • Lead 7 external and 3 internal quota-carrying representatives
    • Enforce weekly performance cadence and activity standards
    • Drive territory penetration and structured prospecting
    • Manage underperformance decisively

    Pipeline Discipline

    • Implement strict stage progression criteria
    • Remove subjective deal probability inflation
    • Maintain healthy pipeline coverage
    • Eliminate stagnating deals

    Quote & Close Velocity

    • Ensure complete and accurate costing inputs
    • Reduce sales cycle duration
    • Drive negotiation momentum
    • Improve forecast reliability

    Margin Enforcement

    • Enforce established pricing floors
    • Block non-compliant deals from progressing
    • Protect contribution quality over revenue vanity

    Churn Control

    • Identify at-risk accounts early
    • Coordinate operational interventions
    • Protect recurring revenue base

    Execution Reporting

    • Weekly pipeline accuracy
    • Activity tracking discipline
    • CRM hygiene as non-negotiable

    Requirements

    • Proven experience managing multiple quota-carrying reps
    • Strong pipeline governance capability
    • Comfort operating within structured pricing controls
    • Ability to challenge discount-driven selling
    • Data-led decision making
    • Operational confidence in route-based or service businesses
    • Min 5 years experience managing a high performing sales team
    • Fully bilingual English/Afrikaans
    • Strong financial/business acumen

    Benefits

    • Salary: Negotiable depending on experience (between R65k - R95k CTC)
