Job Description

• Our client, a supplier of high-quality foil and label products used across the printing, packaging, manufacturing, and decorative industries, is seeking to appoint a Foil Sales Representative. The successful candidate can be based in Durban and must be comfortable with extensive travel.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within the packaging, printing, manufacturing, and related industries.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers through regular communication, site visits, and excellent service delivery.
• Promote and demonstrate foil products, explaining features, benefits, and suitable applications to customers.
• Prepare and deliver quotations, pricing proposals, and product samples to support the sales process.
• Meet and exceed monthly sales targets and performance metrics.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities.
• Provide technical guidance on foil specifications, usage, and best practices.
• Coordinate with internal teams (production, logistics, customer service) to ensure accurate orders and on-time delivery.
• Resolve customer queries or complaints effectively and professionally.
• Maintain accurate sales reports, CRM updates, and pipeline forecasts.
• Attend trade shows, client meetings, and industry events to build brand presence and expand the customer network

Requirements

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Matric / Grade 12 (essential).
• A relevant sales or marketing qualification (advantageous).
• 2–5 years sales experience, experience with foil printing essential.
• Strong technical understanding of foil materials, printing processes, or related manufacturing environments (or willingness to learn).
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to clients.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and developing new business.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer-service skills.
• Strong administrative and reporting skills, including experience with CRM or sales management systems.
• Ability to work independently, manage territory planning, and prioritize effectively.
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to offer technical support and product recommendations.
