    Sales Representative - Mpumalanga and Limpopo Areas

    Job Advert Summary    

    • A Sales Representative is required to identifying and pursue potential customers as well as maintain relationships with existing customers. Will be required to meet and exceed sales targets, provide product information and address customer queries as well as stay up to date with market trends and competitor activities. Key skills  for this position include excellent communication, persuasion, relationship building capabilities, and time management. This position requires extensive area specific travel and industry knowledge.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Minimum NQF Level 4 - 5 Grade 12+ / Higher certificate
    • 3 years sales experience in valves, pipes, and fittings.
    • Ability to read, interpret and understand technical drawings
    • Code B license essential
    • Product Knowledge of all Macsteel Fluids Controls products and the ability to understand and quickly learn new products.
    • Basic proficient levels in Excel, Word, Outlook
    • Basic proficient levels in SAP
    • Excellent Communication Skills
    • Problem solving skills
    • Planning skills
    • Decision-making skills
    • Interpersonal Skills
    • Negotiation Skills
    • Conflict Handling Skills

    Duties and Responsibilities    

    • Service and grow current customer base to achieve set sales targets and maximize Business Unit profits.
    • Implement individual operational plans to ensure defined objectives are met.
    • Pro-actively identify new business opportunities, whilst maintaining current client base.
    • Liaise with management on pricing (special, contract and normal pricing).
    • Exceed sales budgets.
    • Define strategy for focus customer base and industry.
    • Provide on-time market intelligence based on competitive pricing structures and activities to grow market share or enter new markets.
    • Comply with work rules, standards and methods.
    • Identify and provide feedback on cost saving initiatives within area of control
    • Update and monitor contract requirements.
    • Negotiate with client(s) on contract specifications / terms.
    • Timeous submission of call reports and weekly call plans.
