    Sales Representative: Wholesale

    Qualifications and experience required:

    • A completed Grade 12 qualification is essential
    • A tertiary qualification in sales and marketing will be a great advantage
    • Proven sales experience in the FMCG trade is essential, and experience in the poultry industry will be an added advantage

    Other requirements:

    • Must have a reliable vehicle with a valid code 8 driver’s license
    • Computer literacy at an intermediate to advanced level in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook and MS PowerPoint
    • Able to do reporting in MS Excel using pivot tables
    • Well spoken in the English and Afrikaans languages,  well versed in another official language is a great advantage 
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build strong customer relations
    • Deadline driven, able to multi-task and have strong attention to detail and administration skills
    • An understanding of the 20-Keys concept will be a great advantage
    • Be a self-starter and able to work independently, yet effective in a team environment

    Core responsibilities of the position:

    • Establishing strong relationships with all Wholesale, Independent and Catering Customers
    • Respond professionally to all inbound sales queries
    • Consistently seek new business opportunities
    • Effective sales administration
    • Promoting and growing the company's brand and range of products with new and existing customers
    • Price negotiations in line with the company policies and procedures
    • Build healthy on-shelf displays of all products across all categories 
    • Plan, manage, coordinate and attend trade shows and exhibitions as required
    • Manage and grow assigned territory
    • Gather and communicate market intelligence/adverts to improve the company's insights to develop a competitive edge
    • Compile weekly Wholesale/ Independent price surveys
    • Ensure good time management and regular customer visits/calls. 
    • Daily focus on the stock sheet for stock movement 
    • Attending to customer complaints on a daily basis
    • Recording and communicating fridge and chiller breakdowns in stores, as well as freezer temperature deviations
    • Management of product returns according to the  stock return policy
    • Ensure daily KPI's and targets are met or exceeded
