Sample Coordinator/Team Lead at Sensient Technologies Corporation

Job Summary:

As our new Sample Coordinator, you will be responsible for the correct preparation and timely delivery of all Sample Requests for customers of Sensient Technologies South Africa. In this responsible position, you are working closely with local and international colleagues in order to deliver on targets.

Your tasks are varied and ensure that you play an active role in our sampling processes, making sure that our customers receive the right and high quality products. Being an active member in our R&D Team, some of your responsibilities include:

• Prepare and dispatch samples to our customers and promote our business strategy
• Source samples from global Sensient sites
• Inventory control and stocking of laboratory samples
• Generate required documentation as defined by the sample requests
• Package, ship and track sample delivery locally and internationally and review courier invoices
• Adhere to targets and daily reporting on results by keeping excellent records and retains of all sampling products
• Monthly reporting on performance results and focus on continuous improvement
• Maintain inventory of raw materials in all R&D laboratories
• Provide back up for other R&D positions as required
• Seek to improve ways and methods to become more efficient and better serve internal and external customers
• Assist with preventative problem solving and delivering on solutions

To be able to deliver high quality of work for the above tasks, we ask you to: 

• be an excellent communicator (verbal and written) across business units and other Sensient affiliates
• bring a degree or a diploma in Chemistry, Food Science, or alternatively relevant, comparable work experience
• your tasks will require a good knowledge of MS Office, especially in Excel
• you can prove us that you are able to prioritize workload and handle multiple tasks in an effective manner
• be a good self-motivator and work individually to deliver on targets
