Sample Shop Assistant at Ackermans

• As a key part of our shop team, you’ll play a vital role in delivering an excellent shopping experience while supporting daily operations in-store .

Qualifications and level of experience required

• Grade 12 certificate/Matric
• Previous experience in a similar role/s within the clothing and or textile industry would be an advantage
• Understanding standard operating procedures within the sample shop

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Customer Service

• Provide excellent customer service to give customers a great shopping experience 5 star customer service principles

Cashier Duties

• Process Card Payments Process New staff accounts Reporting discrepancies and problems to the Supervisor Till balancing

Merchandising

• Process to separate damaged and non-damagedstock Count Stock Check that price tickets are always in stock Correct Pricing of stock Attractive Displays of stock Correct Hanger Inserts Correct Departments

General Housekeeping

• Maintain overall cleanliness Boxes stacked safely and neatly Clear walkways Products neatly aligned

Be alert and report any suspicious activity or shoplifiting

• Reporting time to Supervisor Incident Accuracy

Ad Hoc Duties

• Support the Sample Shop Supervisor with ad hoc duties / direct instructions when operationally required
