SAP Architect at Mediclinic

The Role

To lead the centralisation of SAP for the Mediclinic Group and fulfil a specialist role to guide strategic decision-making regarding SAP architecture, centre of excellence and shared services functions. Lead the establishment and maintenance of a global SAP architecture, and optimise existing SAP architectures across the Group. Define, support and align SAP related decisions (new or changed solutions) that support the Mediclinic Group’s long-term business and technology strategy. Develop a SAP multi-year roadmap and ensure that the system architecture balances functional, service quality and systems management requirements. Provide a reference architecture and standards that provide direction for Group as well as divisional SAP installations and plans/initiatives. Review the technical and architectural quality of SAP projects across project life cycles and lead quality improvement initiatives. Mature the current shared services and establish new SAP-related shared services for the Group. Implement a governance infrastructure to support divisional SAP implementations. Manage SAP commercial relationships. Lead and manage the people in the team.

Relevant university degree 5 - 10 Years’ experience in SAP architecture Minimum of 2 years’ experience in managing SAP architecture An additional financial qualification or MBA would be an advantage Sound knowledge of the integration of SAP into ICT landscape (cloud and on premise) Sound knowledge and working experience in SAP landscape and architecture Solid understanding of SAP product development insights Displays a team approach through collaboration, supported by a focus on mutual trust and respect The ability to persuade, convince and influence stakeholders as well as building and maintaining productive working relationships Ability to gather and critically review relevant information and data, probes facts in a systematic manner, and draws logical conclusions from available information Capability to anticipate needs and changes within the system and technical specialist area, and integrates this forward thinking into strategy decisions. Ability to analyse and integrate information and the ability to reach practical recommendations in order for sound decisions to be made Takes responsibility for achieving objectives with a strong focus on the client experience Ability to manage a team by guiding, motivating and developing others for a future fit organisation
