SAP Authorisation Specialist at Sappi

We’re on the lookout for an experienced SAP Authorisation Specialist to provide operational support for production security incidents and enhancements including authorization errors and user maintenance. Responsible for the development of SAP security roles and authorizations for SAP S/4 (including HCM), BW, Enterprise Portal and SAP cloud solutions. Works closely with various business partners including Global Process Owners, Business Process Engineers and IT peers to help define and test authorization solutions in support of prioritized business initiatives across the SAP system and related integrated systems.

As a SAP Authorisation Specialist, you will be responsible for:

• Use administration support in all SAP systems and landscapes; daily processing of user requests and account maintenance.
• Security role and profile maintenance in SAP ECC, SAP BW, SAP HR, SAP Portals and SAP Cloud solutions such as Ariba, SuccessFactors,
• Communicates with IT and business users globally to facilitate questions, resolve issues, and request feedback on access issues.
• Resolve end-user production support security issues in a timely and accurate manner; monitor incoming tickets related to security and user administration.
• Participate in the implementation and support of SAP GRC (Governance Risk & Compliance) Access Controls including Access Risk Analysis.
• Provide training and support for SAP GRC, policies and procedures, and security role design to users in business terminology.
• Complies with security policies, procedures and IT controls in place.
• Perform system measurement for SAP licensing purposes and monthly metrics.
• Manage multiple priorities to maintain a balance between day-to-day operations, and projects and to ensure deadlines are met.
• Ability to perform first-level debugging of systems to analyze and resolve issues, or willingness to learn.
• Participate in functional testing across multiple SAP modules and integration with internal or external systems.

What are we looking for:

• Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field.
• 3-5 years’ experience with SAP Authorizations management in SAP ECC, S/4 or similar complex environments.
• Experience with SAP Authorizations management of SAP Cloud solutions (Ariba, SuccessFactors) an added advantage.
• Experience with identity management.
• Familiarity with programming methods, SAP user-exits and working knowledge of debugging or willingness to learn.
• Analytic and detailed oriented; strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot under pressure.
• Experience with SAP Solution Manager is preferred.
• Ability to adhere to service level agreements, and project time lines and provide communication of issues/problems that may impact the ability to meet objectives.
