Payroll Manager - SAP

Boxer Superstores, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Pick and Pay, is a rapidly growing Supermarket discount chain operating in all provinces throughout South Africa. We are looking for an experienced SAP Payroll Manager to join our HR team, based at our Head Office in Westville, Durban.

Job Deliverables

        To ensure the efficient and accurate management of the company payroll as well as management of a large payroll team

Main Job Functions

•         Collate and capture monthly payroll input
•         Oversee a staff compliment of over 19,000 employees
•         Ensure an efficient and accurate payroll is maintained
•         Adhere to payroll deadlines ensuring timeous payment to all employees
•         Compile and reconcile month-end payments
•         Process payment to third party recipient’s
•         People management – manage/mentor payroll team

Qualifications and experience

•   Minimum of a University degree. Preference will be given towards a financial degree.
•   10 year's of payroll experience, the most recent of which must be at a top management level
•   Extensive knowledge of Labour Legislation and Tax
•   Experience in SAP payroll system is non-negotiable
