Warehouse Manager
Boxer Superstores, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Pick and Pay, is a rapidly growing Supermarket discount chain operating in all provinces throughout South Africa. We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Manager to join our supply chain team based at our Distribution Centre in East London.
Job Deliverables
Reporting to the Distribution Manager, this position exists to ensure the smooth operation of the warehouse, from inbound to outbound and everything in between.
Main Job Functions
- Manage inbound and ensure picking and loading plan is met
- Manage warehouse /logistics and transport planning
- Manage controllable expenses
- Check schedules for service and maintenance of machines/equipment
- Meeting KPI’s – DC meets targets
- Implement and monitor OHS
- Staff management
Qualifications and experience
- An appropriate post-matric qualification is required
- 5 years of warehousing experience
- Transport and logistics experience
- Knowledge of a WMS system is non-negotiable

Job Deliverables
To ensure the efficient and accurate management of the company payroll as well as management of a large payroll team
Main Job Functions
- Collate and capture monthly payroll input
- Oversee a staff compliment of over 19,000 employees
- Ensure an efficient and accurate payroll is maintained
- Adhere to payroll deadlines ensuring timeous payment to all employees
- Compile and reconcile month-end payments
- Process payment to third party recipient’s
- People management – manage/mentor payroll team
Qualifications and experience
- Minimum of a University degree. Preference will be given towards a financial degree.
- 10 year's of payroll experience, the most recent of which must be at a top management level
- Extensive knowledge of Labour Legislation and Tax
- Experience in SAP payroll system is non-negotiable

Job Deliverables
- New Stores: deliver new stores to the business aligned to our growth strategy
- Existing stores: refurbish existing stores to maintain standards and modern best practice
Main Job Function
- Liaise with architects and draftsman on store and center design to understand delivery specifications and plans.
- Liaise with third party contractors, professionals and sub-contractors to ensure aligned specifications are delivered within cost parameters and on time.
- Regular site visits.
Qualifications and experience
- A relevant degree or qualification would be an important advantage for candidates
- Extensive experience in the construction industry is a non-negotiable
- Experience of construction in the retail space is an added advantage
- Extensive project management experience in the construction industry is essential.

Commercial Accountant

Job Deliverables
- To manage and control all financial aspects relating to the Commercial department
- Ensure all policies, procedures and best practice is adhered to.
Main Job Function
- Analyse current processes and procedures, recommend changes and ensure these processes
- are up to date.
- Manage the control and processes of supplier billings – Rebates and advertising
- Ensure internal and external audit compliance
- Reconcile bank deposits
- Monitor supplier claims
- Control import costings and Forex
Qualifications and experience
- A minimum of a Bcom degree with a financial major
- A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, ideally in a Retail environment
- Analytical with extensive numerical skills and expert-level on Excel.
