    Schools Sales Consultant: Free State Region

    Oxford University Press is looking for a Schools Sales Consultant who will be responsible for business development, organizing and conducting product presentations to educators, calling on schools, key booksellers and libraries to generate sales, and coordinating provincial activities across the whole Province.

    The School Sales Consultant will be reporting to the Regional Manager for Northwest & Free State. This post is based in the Bloemfontein.

    Principal Accountabilities:

    • Achieve sales targets for front and backlist titles.
    • Understanding Oxford University Press position in the market.
    • Develop and implement monthly and weekly sales plans for allocated territories.
    • Establishing and maintaining productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Calling on schools, district education officials, key bookseller and libraries to generate sales.
    • Conducting product presentations and facilitating workshops for educators.

    Requirements

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Relevant working experience in sales
    • Relevant National Diploma in Sales, Marketing or Education
    • Strong business and commercial acumen
    • Strong negotiation skills and problem solving
    • Able to maintain and foster business relationships
    • Experience in publishing environment including both print and digital
    • Excellent interpersonal, organisational, analytical, and written and verbal communication skills
    • Experience in data analytics and CRM
    • Valid driver’s license and own transport
