Scientist: NRL Immunology - Centurion at Ampath

Purpose of Position:

• To process specimens according to set criteria and standards on all benches within the Immunology Laboratory and to assist with monitoring the workflow requirements to ensure timeous delivery of results

Requirements:

• BSc Honours Graduate  (Required), Grade 12  (Required), HPCSA Registration in Relevant Register and Practice Field  (Required)

Required Experience:

• Experience in pathology laboratory environment, Knowledge: Accreditation processes / procedures, Knowledge: GCP/GLP requirements, Knowledge: HPCSA regulations, Knowledge: Instrumentation and Methodologies, Knowledge: Materials Management, Knowledge: Meditech system, Knowledge: Occupational Health and Safety Act (OSHA), Knowledge: relevant pathology test procedures

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain good client relations to promote the image of Ampath., Maintain quality control in order to ensure quality standards are upheld within the laboratory, Perform allocated bench work in order to ensure effective and timeous delivery of results, Perform MM tasks in order to ensure effective monitoring and ordering of stock quantities, Perform ongoing research in order to ensure awareness of the latest technology, relevant information and products.
