Educational Requirements (Educational / academic qualifications)

• Formal scrum master certification
• Agile project management advantageous
• B Com or relevant degree advantageous
• Agile product owner training advantageous
• DevOps training advantageous

Key Performance Areas: (Specific Description of the job)

• Ensure the basics of Scrum is embedded in the teams
• Implement agile best practices within a team
• Help the team to develop a culture of collaboration
• Maintain a high level of morale within the team
• Support the team to be self-organized and function as an accountable, high performance team
• Facilitate and responsible for scrum of scrums
• Work directly with client stakeholders, EXCO members, senior management and development team members
• Schedule sprint boundary meetings and make sure the team attends the meetings
• Attend all sprint boundary meetings to guide team through the process
• Facilitate the stand-up meetings
• Identifying and removing impediments for the team
• Work with teams to streamline agile process and assist them to improve continuously
• Coach product owners new to the role to assist them to develop into the role of a product owner
• Assist the product owner in prioritization and scheduling of work, to meet agreed delivery time frames
• Ensure that all the team members understand their roles and fulfil them to the best of their ability
• Ensure that documentation and maintenance of stories is as per the Agile methodology
• Assist the team with managing agile via agile tooling (DevOps)
• Configure DevOps sprints for development teams
• Assist with ensuring that IT best practices are followed with each project delivery
• Ensure project artifacts are saved at each stage of the project
• Assist development team in assuring code reviews are completed and that code is checked in to DevOps
• Ensure that all Change Controls are ready for all releases into Production
• Ensure that the implementation of solutions are automated and are not aligned to legacy way of work

Prior Work Experience / Background:

• 5 Years’ experience on large software development projects
• The following backgrounds will be advantageous: Software development, project management, business analysis and/or testing, DevOps, Auto testing
• Knowledge of the financial industry, specifically the asset management industry
