Section Engineer (12-Month FTC) at Hire Resolve

Job Description

• Hire Resolve’s Client is looking for a Section Engineer (12-month Fixed Term Contract) to be based at an Underground Hard Rock Mine in Limpopo!

Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with safety and efficient equipment operation
• Accept legal appointment as Section 2.13.1 Engineer in terms of the MHSA and ensure full compliance with all safety, legal, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead and manage underground engineering maintenance to ensure optimal equipment availability, reliability, and performance.
• Develop, implement, and monitor planned maintenance systems, shutdown schedules, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Oversee engineering teams (foremen, artisans, and operators), ensuring competence, performance management, and adherence to standards.
• Manage section budgets, cost control, spares, and technical reporting to support safe and sustainable production targets.

Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• GCC Mines and Works
• Grade 12
• 5-8 years engineering experience in underground conventional hard rock mining
• Proven experience in a 2.13.1 Legal Appointment
