We are currently seeking to employ a Section Manager HR to join our Kumba Iron Ore family at our Sishen Operation. This is a key role within the Human Resources Team where the incumbent will be responsible to:
Manage the effective scoping, planning and delivery of HR specialist support and services within their area of responsibility.
Coordinate input into and participation with relevant HR processes (including, employee relations, employee development, org effectiveness, transformation, performance management and reward processes).
Provide support and guidance for effective workforce planning and resourcing requirements to a defined level within the Operation environment.
Ensuring that structures and roles within the operation are well defined and clarified and that competencies and learning paths are developed according to requisite organisation theory and practice
Coordinate and manage the implementation of talent management audit, IDP process, performance management process and department action plans in association with relevant Talent Advisor; Assessment Advisor; HR Advisor and the Specialist Remuneration..
Assist in Maintaining sound employee relations through continuous coaching, consulting, negotiating and counselling with various stakeholders.
Manage the delivery of HR services such as manpower planning, cost saving initiatives, Org Structures, Job evaluation, Job grading and profiles, recruitment, performance management, remuneration and reward, management of medical incapacity processes and employee relations.
Manage and approve budgetary expenditures within authorisation limits
Participate in and identify cost saving initiatives within control within responsibility area
Analyse data and determine areas of improvement and development within the HR value chain.
Implement and facilitate climate and cultural interventions.
Implement and facilitate organisational effectiveness and transformational strategy
Drive and participate in a healthy safety culture for Sishen.
Other general HR and Human Resources Development processes, systems and initiatives.
This role is in the HR Department at a Band 6 level reporting to the Manager Human Resource
You will need the following:
An Honours degree in Industrial & Organisational Psychology or Human Resources with 6-8 years’ experience, or
A Relevant 4-year degree in Industrial & Organisational Psychology or Human Resources with 8-10 years’ experience
5 years HR Business partner experience in a mining environment
Registration with a Professional HR body is advantageous
Computer literacy MS Office & SAP HR
Valid Driver’s license
Medical fitness certificate
Manpower planning budgeting skills and experience will be highly advantageous
