Grade 10 with 5 years or more relevant security experience plus security certificate Grade C and must be registered with Psira, have valid Psira certificate. Computer literacy and CCTV experience in control room will be added an advantage.
Knowledge of the Access to public premises and vehicles Act No. 53 of 1985, Psira Act 56 of 2001 and Minimum Information Security Standards (MISS). Must be prepared to work shifts and under pressure.
Duties :
Safeguarding state assets, vehicles, employees, patients, contractors, visitors. Monitor and control the movement of patients and visitors. Render escort services to staff members, visitors and patients when the need arises.
Report all incidents/breaches in the Occurrences Book. Do searching (i.e. people and vehicles. Enforcement of departmental policies, assisting nursing staff in handling aggressive patients if required, managing hospital security aids and monitoring of CCTV surveillance cameras. Quickly respond to emergencies in the hospital.
