Security Sales Representative at Kontak Recruitment

About the Role

• You'll play a key role in growing the company's customer base and revenue across three core security verticals: physical guarding, armed response and electronic security systems.
• Your responsibilities will span new business development, cold calling, site visits, security risk assessments, solution selling, quotations and tenders, contract negotiations, client relationship management and sales administration.
• Please note: This is not a traditional office-based sales role. You'll spend significant time in the field conducting prospecting activities, client meetings, site visits and security risk assessments. The role requires someone who is comfortable working independently, handling rejection, navigating high-pressure sales situations and consistently building a strong sales pipeline.

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12 (Matric) – essential.
• Valid South African driver's licence – essential.
• Clean criminal record, subject to background checks and police clearance.
• Minimum 2 years' proven outbound B2B and B2C sales experience within the security industry.
• Proven track record of new business development, prospecting and closing sales.
• Experience working against sales targets and maintaining an active sales pipeline.

Key Responsibilities:

• Proactively generating new business through cold calling, door-to-door prospecting, site visits and industry networking.
• Identifying and qualifying new commercial, residential and industrial sales opportunities.
• Conducting comprehensive security risk assessments and site audits.
• Building and maintaining an active sales pipeline across physical guarding, armed response and electronic security.
• Identifying client security vulnerabilities and recommending appropriate solutions.
• Presenting customised security solutions based on individual client requirements.
• Selling integrated solutions including physical guarding, armed response, CCTV, alarm systems, access control, electric fencing and perimeter security.
• Preparing accurate commercial quotations and tenders in line with company pricing models and required profit margins.
• Negotiating with prospective clients, overcoming objections and closing new contracts.
• Achieving monthly sales and revenue targets across the relevant security verticals.
• Acting as the primary point of contact throughout the sales process, from initial engagement through to onboarding and service deployment.
• Coordinating smooth handovers of guarding deployments and CCTV, alarm and other security system installations to operational and technical teams.
• Conducting post-installation and post-deployment client follow-ups.
• Identifying opportunities for upselling, cross-selling and client referrals.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date sales activities, pipeline information and client interactions within the CRM system.
• Preparing and submitting weekly and monthly sales forecasts and performance reports to management.
• Consistently meeting required weekly prospecting, cold-calling and verified site risk survey activity targets.

Technical Knowledge:

• Physical guarding structures and security requirements.
