Creating, planning and implementing sales strategy, and strategic sales, business development initiatives whilst ensuring profitability in alignment with the global sales strategy. Achieves sales targets in respect of both budgets and sales efficiency.
Establishing sales targets and ensures sales achievement in the Sub-Saharan Africa region through regular oversight and definition and implementation of improvement plans as needed.
Identifying opportunities for existing and potential new customers within the Sub-Saharan Africa region and determines plans for customer acquisition in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
Coordinating the flow of information for sales activities and transactions, including leads, billings, orders, contracts, etc. and evaluates data to ensure achievement of goals. Monitors and provides reports to the Marketing and Sales organization on market intelligence.
Working with the Business unit Market Managers to coordinate sales activities between the business units and exploit synergies across the company.
Supporting the development of strong relationships with key customers. Builds and maintains strong relationships with key decision makers. Ensures efficient marketing communications.
Ensuring achievement of sales volume and product mix targets by setting appropriate price and margin for sales. Participates in negotiations of key contracts. Manages ongoing costs.
Monitoring client financial status and reports any changes regarding risk to relevant internal stakeholders. Identifies and manages potential risks relating to contract agreements across customers/channels.
Growing visibility, knowledge sharing and cross-collaboration across the sales team locally, regionally and globally.
Managing the strategic relationship with renewable developers, EPCs and other players in the renewables landscape. Lead the development and implementation of the account plans for significant players to include designing the executive relationship strategy and coverage plans, prioritizing the opportunities, identifying a target for each solution element. Propose recovery plans in case of potential order shortfalls.

Your background
A bachelor’s degree in Electric Engineering.
Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
Relevant Degree in Electrical Engineering.
Strong relationship building, networking and collaboration skills are needed.
Minimum 10 years of experience in customer relationship building business development and sales in the power renewables environment.
Proven track record of sales of projects or project development in Southern and East Africa
