    Semi -Skilled Meter Installers (24 Months Fixed Term Contract)

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Grade 9 or equivalent qualification
    • Experience in water meter installation or any other plumbing maintenance
    • Knowledge of water supply systems and basic plumbing principles
    • Ability to work with tools and perform manual labor
    • Willingness to work in different locations across the district
    • Physical fitness and ability to work outdoors in various

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Installation and replacement of water meters
    • Assisting in leak detection and reporting faulty meters
    • Ensuring proper meter connections and adherence to installation guidelines
    • Working with plumbers and municipal teams to improve water services
    • General Requirements for Both Positions:
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills
    • Willingness to work extended hours when required
    • Commitment to delivering quality municipal services
