Senior Accountant at Potentiam Limited

Duties and responsibilities

Accounts Payable (Manco and fund)

• Working with the CFO and a small UK based team of accountants, deliver the finance function for the group of 4 entities

 Accounts receivable

• SAP Concur
•  Working with fund admin to settle fund payments

Intra group service charges

• Recharges to the funds for expenses and research (RPA)

Twinfield, Base Cone

• Management accounts and year end audit - Start to finish 

Year end audits including financial statements

• Fund accounts as it pertains to the expenses paid, including accruals / forecasting
• Partner reporting, forecasting PL, Cash flows and Reg cap for up to 3 years
• Including detailed expense and income budgets per month per supplier / service
• Coordinating / interacting with local suppliers on items that feed above
• Payroll, corp tax, VAT, brokers on insurance and benefit, company sec (support from UK team
• on international regulated activities until fully familiar)
• Transfer pricing support / reviews
• UK, USA and ITA

Skills/Experience 

• Financial Degree – (SAICA registered CA beneficial)
• 8+ years’ experience in a financial accounting / management accounting role, responsible for outputs for the full function of management accounting
• Experience working in an investment or asset management firm beneficial, as well as management level in an auditing firm
• Mindset to systematise as far as possible, then automate
• Independent worker, able to think on their feed, pre-empting issues and coming up with solutions
• Attention to detail, and ability to create controls
• Advanced Excel, data base (advantageous)
