    Senior Analyst Client Static

    Job Summary

    • Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise-Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Absa Policies and Policy Standards
    • Understand and manage risks and risk events (incidents) relevant to the role

    Job Description
    Accountability: Workflow Management, Quality Control and Client Services

    • Continuously monitor the queue to claim and action requests received from internal stakeholders.
    • Ensure 100% conformance with regard to quality assurance and escalations.
    • Perform daily, weekly and monthly checks with regards to completion of workflow (SharePoint) and escalate deviations to Team Leader.
    • Adhere to Service Level Agreement (SLA) and turnaround times for each instruction.
    • Escalate Service Level Agreement (SLA) deviations and possible enhancements to Team Leader.

    Accountability: Receiving and Uploading / Amendment of Data

    • In all instances, perform a 100% quality check (fit for processing) prior to execution.
    • Validate the request by checking the primary system(s), ensure all requests received are received from mandated officials, authorized to send such requests, in relation to static data i.e. name change of corporation, settlement requests etc).
    • Investigate, execute and finalize requests as per guidelines (e.g. procedural manual and product system manuals).
    • Act as subject matter expert on CIB Client Static procedures, taking manuals into account.
    • Update all relevant manuals as and when needed.
    • Review and analyze requests in terms of amendments and additions received from internal stakeholders to determine number of product systems to be amended in accordance with request and implement across sub systems as appropriate.
    • Effect changes as indicated and send to colleague for the relevant four eye check.
    • Send a detailed and professional request completion notification to requestor.
    • Update progress on workflow tool (SharePoint) in accordance with procedure.
    • Once finalized, ensure that all completed requests, including feedback are loaded onto Midbase or any other master system depository.

    Accountability: Data Cleaning and Checking

    • Receive all bulk format creations or amendments (due to a project, audit, etc.). Investigate, communicate timeframe for completion to requestor and complete within the timeframe communicated to the requestor. Keep requestor up to date with regard to progress.
    • Log request on workflow tool (SharePoint) in accordance with procedure.
    • Review corporate documentation on processes, procedures and controls and evaluate the continuing effectiveness of these and related systems, initiating remedial action as necessary.
    • Ensure that client static data across all sub systems is maintained and kept in sync.
    • Sign off on daily data audit reports and correct any anomalies.
    • Adhere to all policies and procedures as set out for the department

    Accountability: Troubleshooting

    • Solve complex amendments due to buy-outs i.e. one organization buy out another but still need to trade under original name.
    • Liaise with legal in terms of legal requirements during buy outs and subsequent amendments needed on system.
    • Liaise with various product houses to create link for amendment and to ensure one view of customer across the Bank.
    • Address system limitations by making recommendations on source info, enhancements to the system, proposals for workarounds and process enhancements.
    • Keep abreast of all system enhancements to ensure effective use of system.

    Accountability: Provide Operations Support

    • Attend all training sessions scheduled.
    • Attend all team meetings scheduled.
    • In conjunction with your Team Leader, ensure that the relevant controls are in place for your own area of responsibility as outlined within the Risk Control Assessment (RCA).

    Education And Experience Required

    • Grade 12 (NQF level 4) with Mathematics
    • Post grade 12 qualification in systems, engineering, statistics is preferable
    • 2 years’ experience in working with complex data amendments

    Knowledge & Skills: (Maximum of 6)

    • Sound knowledge of data, rational databases, and related IT system
    • MS Excel basic
    • Time management skills / Ability to prioritize
    • Ability to work in a support team environment in the production of data management for the broader business
    • Ability to learn new skills quickly
    • Ability to work under pressure
