Senior Analyst, Product Owner at Burgiss

About the role:

The Senior Analyst, Product Owner will work in a fast-paced, agile approach environment engaging with a variety of investment and technology professionals inside and outside the firm. This is a great opportunity to work closely with a highly professional team of engineers and designers to build a great product! 

Responsibilities:

Generate requirements for product initiatives:

• Work closely with internal stakeholders to gather and define business requirements
• Work closely with the product and design teams to design practical solutions for business requirements
• Create and develop functional requirement documents including data migration rules, business rules, workflow diagrams, wireframes, user stories and other deliverables to support      development.
• Design and document test cases where appropriate. 

Support technical execution and delivery of product initiatives:

• Work closely with engineering team to implement technical solutions given defined business and functional requirements.
• Work closely with quality assurance to ensure designed functionality requirements are met. 

Support cross-functional teams:

• Work closely with Data Ops, Data Product, and Global Client Coverage to advise, guide, and support these teams to address client needs.
• Work on ad-hoc projects of strategic importance to the firm.

Required Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Sciences, Engineering or similar,
• 2 years in a product management role working on enterprise web applications, OR,
• 2 years of experience working on portfolio analysis, performance measurement, and/or portfolio reporting tools
• Domain expertise in the area of portfolio analysis, performance measurement, accounting, and/or portfolio reporting.

Preferred Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

• 3 years in a product management role working on enterprise web applications
• 3 years of experience in the private capital industry with emphasis on portfolio analysis and reporting
• Domain expertise in institutional investment management.
• Experience working collaboratively with UX teams                                                          
• Domain expertise in UX design and data visualization.                                                   
• CFA charter holder
• CAIA charter holder
