Senior BI and Data Solutions Engineer at AVI Limited

About the Role

• As a Senior BI and Data Solutions Engineer, you will be at the forefront of AVI’s Business Intelligence strategy, leveraging your expertise to develop and implement high-impact analytics solutions. Reporting to the Business Analytics Manager, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, build, and optimize BI systems that enable data-driven decision-making. Your ability to turn complex data challenges into streamlined solutions using the Microsoft BI stack will be essential in this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of BI solutions, including dashboards, reports, and self-service analytics tools.
• Define and implement best practices for BI architecture, data integration, and analytics solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to BI developers, ensuring adherence to SDLC best practices.
• Optimize data pipelines and ETL processes to ensure accurate, timely, and scalable data delivery.
• Partner with Business Analysts and key stakeholders to translate business needs into robust BI solutions.
• Maintain and enhance the data warehouse environment, ensuring its efficiency and scalability.
• Champion data governance, quality, and integrity across the organization.
• Stay ahead of emerging BI trends and technologies to drive continuous innovation.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science or related degree
• 8-10 years of IT experience, with at least 6 years in BI development.
• Expertise in the Microsoft BI stack (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, SQL Server, Power BI, Power Pivot, Power View).
• Strong SQL scripting and data modeling
• Proven experience working with SAP R/3 ERP back-end.
• Hands-on experience with ETL processes, data warehousing, and performance optimization.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with a strategic and analytical mindset.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across business and technical teams.
