    Job Description

    Leading and working together with a development team, responsible for producing viable functional specifications in preparation for the construction of a service or information system.  Undertakes the methodical investigation, analysis, and documentation of the element in terms of business functions and processes, and the information they use.  May be responsible for training users in new systems implementation.  May be responsible for assisting Application Support personnel in problem solving and resolution. Plays an extremely important role in motivation the Team in ensuring project success. May have responsibility for supervision and mentoring of trainee and more junior Business Analysts.  Must have testing experience and willing to look into some automation.

    Qualifications

    • BA Qualification (e.g. FTI BA Diploma)

    • 5+ Years in Business Analysis

    • Excellent understanding of Business Analysis methodologies

    • Excellent understanding of Different phases in Project lifecycle.

    • Management Information Systems Experience

    • Understanding of Project Management methodologies

    • High Level of Emotional Intelligence must be display

    • Experience in working/managing development teams

    • Experience in working under pressure and achieving deadlines

    • Experience in Product Presentations.

    • Excellent time management skills

    • Excellent documentation and writing skills

    Principle Responsibilities: 


    •    Understand the Requirement of the Businesses
    The key skill required for this portion of the process is the ability of the Business Analyst to refine the varying messages as well as the requirements of the project stakeholders or consumers into a consistent, single vision.
    •    Possibilities of the System
    Required to work with key project consumers or stakeholders as well as business to communicate and formulate, the vision of business, for the project. In addition, BA must be able to plot the scope and initial requirement of the project.
    •    Presentation & Public Speaking
    Be able to deliver a quality presentation on topics like project status, application designs as well as business requirements to Project stakeholders and Executives.
    •    Elaborate the Details of the Project
    BA needs to be able to work with a wide range of stakeholders or consumers across the company to guarantee their needs, as well as knowledge, are combined into a detailed conversation about what will be delivered in a phased approach.

    •    Support the Project Implementation
    The Business Analysts will be involved in the project implementation and support throughout the project life cycle, from start to end.
    •    Functional Requirements and Non-Functional Requirements
    Attaining a successful product is one of the main roles as well as responsibilities of the Business Analyst. The Business Analyst will determine what the project should do and how the project will work.
    •    User Acceptance Testing
    Business Analysts will actively function on developing user-testing scenarios via testing approaches. The best indication of the user acceptance is that the product will offer the expected result.
    •    Technical Writing, Decision Making & Problem Solving
    The BA will develop informative, coherent and usable documents to achieve project success. 
    •    Maintenance of System and Operations
    Once the project requirements have been addressed and the solution offered, the role of Business Analysts shifts to preventing or correcting defects, making changes, enhancements and maintenance of the system to enhance the value of the system.
    •    Automation/Testing
    The Business Analyst must have a keen interest in other aspects of the team.  Automation, although not a prerequisite, will be advantages if the BA has some automation background and willing to look into the automation processes within the team.
