Role Purpose    

• You will be responsible for analysing, designing, and developing business intelligence solutions for internal and external stakeholders according to requirements. Deliver actionable data insights to aid client acquisition and retention efforts.

Requirements    

• Bachelor’s degree / diploma in one of the following fields: Informatics, Computer Science, Statistics, or Information Technology.
• Minimum of 8-10 years’ working experience in the following:
• SSIS (essential)
• Power BI (essential)
• SSRS (essential)
• Azure Data Factories (ideal)
• Azure Synapse Analytics (ideal)
• Python / R (ideal)
• Microsoft SQL Server (essential)
• T-SQL (critical)
• SSAS (essential
• Certification on Azure platform
• Understanding of insurance / accounting principles will be highly beneficial
• Intensive troubleshooting knowledge
• Data story telling
• Dashboard development and automation (essential)
• Report development and automation (essential)
• Have prior experience developing business intelligence solutions in large or midsize companies
• Must have development experience with relational database structures, multi-dimensional database, and data warehouse design architecture
• Must have experience in reporting and business intelligence solutions
• Working knowledge of IFRS17 accounting standard (critical) from a data and systems perspective
• Minimum of 3-5 years of mentoring junior team members

Duties & Responsibilities    

• Participate in the analysis, design, development, troubleshooting and support of the reporting and analytics platform
• Develop BI solutions using SQL, ETL scripting, business intelligence tools, database programming and reporting tools on the Microsoft BI Stack
• Integrate with diverse source systems (including but not limited to: In-House, Vendor-based, On-prem and Cloud-based, and Office 365)
• Work with DevOps team and participate in testing of all database-related changes and application updates
• Responsible for the day to day database development/administrative tasks which include the development of queries, views, and other database schema objects
• Automation of recurring processes and the monitoring thereof
• Maintain data model schema, hierarchy within data warehouse, and reporting systems
