RPO Recruitment’s client, a reputable building contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Construction Foreman to join its Cape Town team. This role is suited to a hands-on construction professional with a proven track record of successfully delivering commercial building projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate daily site activities to ensure projects are completed safely, on time and to the required quality standards.
Manage site labour, subcontractors and suppliers.
Monitor construction progress and ensure work is carried out in accordance with project specifications and programme requirements.
Conduct regular site inspections and maintain high standards of workmanship.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
Coordinate material deliveries and site resources to support efficient project execution.
Liaise with the site management team to resolve construction issues and maintain project progress.
Maintain accurate site records and report on project progress.
Requirements:
National Diploma in Building or related qualifications
Minimum 10–15 years' experience as a Construction Foreman within the building construction industry.
Proven commercial construction experience is essential.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing and site operations.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
