Senior Consultant: Business Improvement - (AD-L6.14) at Zutari

Role overview

• A project leadership role that leads small-to-medium projects within a functional stream with full accountability for delivery, quality and client satisfaction. Manages project teams of 3–6, drives methodology selection and delivery approach, owns client relationships at manager level, manages project budgets, and coaches team members.

Key responsibility area

• Lead small to medium-sized projects within a single functional stream, with full accountability for delivery, quality, and client satisfaction
• Deliver across core BI service areas, including Enterprise Improvement (process redesign, operating model), Change & Adoption, Knowledge Management (KM strategy and taxonomy), Project Management (PM capability, PMO design), and Enterprise Diagnostics (maturity assessments)  
• Manage and lead project teams (typically 3–6 members) across all phases of delivery, including planning, execution, and closeout
• Define project scope, select appropriate methodologies (e.g., Lean, PROSCI/ADKAR, BABOK, PMP), and determine delivery approach
• Facilitate stakeholder workshops, conduct complex analysis, and develop actionable, data-driven recommendations
• Develop and apply project management, assessment, diagnostic, and governance frameworks to support delivery excellence 
• Own client relationships at management level, proactively managing expectations and ensuring value delivery
• Manage project budgets and track financial performance, including reporting on variances and risks
• Develop and coach team members, providing direction, feedback, and support to build capability
• Contribute to internal thought leadership, including delivering presentations, developing knowledge articles, and supporting methodology enhancement
• Lead the development of reusable BI assets, accelerators, and frameworks to enhance delivery efficiency and consistency
• Role-model organisational values and coach team members in demonstrating them consistently

Digital Tools & Data Application

• Lead data analysis and visualisation activities across projects, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and insight generation
• Guide teams in ERP data extraction, analysis, and interpretation to support diagnostics and improvement initiatives
• Ensure quality, consistency, and clarity of analytical outputs, dashboards, and visualisations across engagements
• Advise clients on leveraging AI tools and automation to enhance business performance and operational efficiency
• Develop reusable templates, models, and methods for data analysis and reporting
• Mentor junior team members on advanced analytics, visualisation techniques, and digital tool application

Minimum requirements

• Appropriate Certification or Professional registration (Lean Six Sigma, PROSCI, PMP, BABOK or equivalent)
• 5+ years' experience in business improvement
• BSc Industrial Engineering / BEng (Industrial) / Relevant degree/equivalent qualification
• Relevant postgraduate degree
