    Senior Cost Controller

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide Baseline inputs on Cost changes and Client volumes during Forecasting and Budgeting cycles.
    • Assist BD team with new business proposals.
    • Provide timely and accurate management information & reports as required, to Senior Management and Customers on a daily, weekly / monthly basis.
    • Pro-actively identify opportunities across the sector.
    • Assist Commercial Controller in submitting BCA (Business Case Assessment) documents for approval.
    • In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
    • Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures.
    • Integrity, with an ability to handle confidential information.
    • Plan and record variable costs across the BU.
    • Review standard and actual costs for inaccuracies across the BU.
    • Prepare budgeting reports.
    • Analyse and report profit margins across the BU.
    • Collecting and analysing data about the BU's operational costs.
    • Carrying out cost to serve analysis.
    • Preparing audit reports and presenting their findings to management.
    • Recommending changes to the BU’s processes and policies to reduce cost and maximize profit.
    • Developing and analysing cost standards.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision makers and establish customer network on a working level (coach network).
    • Monitor Financial KPIs, ensure quality standards and financial targets are being met.
    • Coordinate the resolving of financial issues and push for process improvements.
    • Collect and share knowledge and best practices.
    • Review input from opportunity team, ensure quality and commercial standards are met.
    • Analyse collected data together with operational and functional experts and provide strategies for cost saving and efficiency.        

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Matric.
    • BCom degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant study (Essential).
    • Tertiary Qualification (Logistics, Business) (Advantageous).
    • 5 Years Costing & Accounting experience.
