    Senior Data Analyst (Power BI) (CPT)

    ENVIRONMENT:

    • DRIVE data-led decision-making, focusing on delivering strategic insight, improving data maturity, and influencing key business outcomes as the next Senior Data Analyst sought by a thriving Managed Service Provider.
    • You will translate complex data into actionable insights, playing a key role in shaping how data is used across the business, improving performance visibility, and enabling smarter, faster decisions.
    • This is a hands-on yet strategic role, ideal for someone who combines strong technical expertise with business acumen and the ability to lead initiatives and mentor others.
    • You will also require 5+ years of experience in Data Analytics or a related role including advanced experience in Data Visualisation tools such as Power BI (preferred), Tableau, or similar platforms & strong proficiency in T-SQL and/or Python, Microsoft Fabric and Azure.

    DUTIES:

    Data Strategy & Ownership –

    • Take ownership of key data domains, contributing to the development of data models, standards, and best practices to support scalable analytics across the business.

    Advanced Data Analysis –

    • Apply advanced analytical techniques to uncover trends, patterns, and opportunities, proactively identifying insights that drive operational and commercial performance.

    Reporting & Visualisation Leadership –

    • Design, develop, and optimise Power BI dashboards within the Microsoft Fabric framework, ensuring reporting is scalable, user-focused, and aligned to business priorities.

    Technical Expertise (T-SQL & Python) –

    • Lead the development of complex T-SQL queries and Python-based data solutions to support advanced analytics, automation, and efficient data processing.

    Stakeholder Engagement & Influence –

    • Partner with senior stakeholders to understand business challenges, translate requirements into analytical solutions, and influence decision-making through data storytelling.

    Mentorship & Collaboration –

    • Provide guidance and mentorship to Junior Analysts, promoting best practices in analytics, data modelling, and reporting.

    Process Improvement & Automation –

    • Identify opportunities to streamline data workflows, automate reporting processes, and improve data quality and governance across systems.

    Data Quality & Governance –

    • Champion data accuracy, consistency, and integrity, establishing frameworks to improve trust and reliability in business data.

    Insight Communication –

    • Present complex findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership, driving understanding and action.

    Advanced Excel & Analytical Tools –

    • Leverage Advanced Excel capabilities and analytical tools where appropriate to support deep-dive analysis and rapid insight generation.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • 5+ Years of experience in Data Analytics or a related role.
    • Advanced experience in Data Visualisation tools such as Power BI (preferred), Tableau, or similar platforms.
    • Strong proficiency in T-SQL and/or Python for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
    • Experience working with modern data platforms (e.g., Microsoft Fabric, Azure, or similar environments).
    • Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining scalable reporting solutions.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
    • Experience engaging with senior stakeholders and translating business needs into analytical solutions.
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and automation techniques.
    • Strong organisational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

    Nice-to-haves –

    • Experience mentoring or leading Junior Analysts.
    • Knowledge of Data Governance, Data Modelling, and Data Architecture principles.
    • Experience in Construction, Plant Hire, Logistics, or Asset-heavy industries.
