Senior Data Centre Specialist (long-term contract)
The key function of this role is to manage all operational activities within a Tier3 datacenter and DR facility to ensure maximum availability. The successful candidate will also be responsible Server hardware/ operating systems management and support. Person is also responsible for backup and restore for all application, databases, DR replication and recovery
Skills required to contribute:
5-10 years relevant experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Server technology including Active Directory domain, Exchange, and application servers.
Sound knowledge of DNS, DHCP, SMTP, SMB, CIFS, NFS, TCP/IP.
Hands on experience on SAN / NAS Essential.
Knowledge of Microsoft and Solaris cluster technology is required.
Sound knowledge of Virtualisation technology (VMWARE) is required.
Experience on backup and restore technologies (Including Tape Backup, snapshots, and replication) and methods is essential.
Experience in Disaster recovery Procedure is essential.
Knowledge of end point, datacenter security and encryption.
Hands on experience on IBM x series, P series and SUN Sparc server hardware.
Enterprise antivirus, WSUS, and Enterprise system management server.
Understanding Oracle / SQL databases, backup and recovery.
Expertise in Linux and Solaris is essential.
Experience in redundancy and High availability infrastructure architecture.
Knowledge of Infrastructure Management framework such as ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) is essential.
Knowledge of LAN Switches are preferable
Candidates from BFSI would be preferred.
Prior Experience on SunGard Application Suite (InvestOne, Neoxam, Xamin,Flexcube, Sage, Profida, MDA, Statspro, Lexis-Nexis, Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters, Morning-Star) is preferable.
Proven and hands on knowledge on Azure, AWS and other cloud platforms.
Must have knowledge on cloud platform integration methods
Must have knowledge of DevOps
Educational Qualification:
Bachelor Degree in IT or equivalent.
MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) Certification is mandatory.
VMware certifications are essential
Experience in System Management frameworks such as ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) is required.
