Senior Data Engineer at Outsourced CFO

Job Description

• We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to play a pivotal role in advancing Outsourced CFO's technology vision. This individual will be responsible for executing the vision for the organization’s technology solutions and systems, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
• The role involves co-designing and implementing innovative technologies that drive operational excellence and support organizational objectives. The Senior Data Engineer will also oversee and execute all data-related systems, technologies, and procedures, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and scalability. Ultimately, this role is key in propelling OCFO’s systems forward as a strategic enabler in achieving the organization’s Big Hairy Audacious Goal (BHAG).

Key Responsibilities;

Data Administration - Build;

• Implement and manage data warehousing solutions, ensuring that data is easily accessible for analysis and reporting.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines that ingest and transform data from various sources while maintaining data integrity and cleanliness.
• Build the system development to achieve the BHAG of the organization in a phased manner, ensuring that system is in place to achieve the organizations season of growth.

Data Administration - Analyse;

• Work closely with head of departments and relevant stakeholders, translating complex data into clear visuals for informed decision-making.
• Create compelling visualizations and data solutions that promote a data-driven culture.
• Regularly deliver findings in an accessible manner to facilitate informed decision-making.

Data Administration - Improve;

• Ensure a continuous drive for data quality enhancement, data accuracy and process efficiency.
• Identify technology solutions, in collaboration with The Head of Data deliver on the organization's growing needs.

Data Administration - Maintain;

• Ensure systems are maintained and secured at all times
• Ensure that system API integration maintains maximum uptime and follows the latest integration and security protocols
• Implement and uphold robust security measures to ensure the confidentiality and integrity of sensitive data.

Requirements
Min Qualifications Required;

• Degree in Data Engineering / Data Analytics / Industrial Engineering / Relevant Field

Min Experience Required;

• 5+ years of progressive experience in Data Engineering or a closely related role (e.g., Business Intelligence Engineer, Data Architect).
• 3+ years of hands-on experience designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based data warehousing solutions
• Experience collaborating directly with non-technical stakeholders and department heads to understand business needs and translate them into data solutions and compelling visualizations.
