    Senior Engineer - Renewable Energy

    Senior Engineer - Renewable Energy 

    We are hiring a Senior Engineer to form part of a Renewable Energy Engineering team. The engineer will be responsible for building the solar engineering capabilities required to support sales, project implementation, operations and maintenance. The engineer will be involved in:

    • Engineering Pre-Sales - Energy and tariff modelling as well as the design of solar plants for future projects
    • Quality Assurance - Project management of solar projects, including engineering, procurement, construction of solar projects
    • Operations and Maintenance - Reporting and monitoring of our existing and new solar projects across South Africa.

    Requirements:

    •  5+ years’ experience working in the South Africa renewable energy market in the commercial and industrial sector.
    • BEng/BTech electrical/energy/mechatronics/ BSc, (Master’s is an added advantage).
    • Registration with ECSA as a professional engineer (added advantage).
    • Experience in project management.
    • Be proficient in AutoCAD software.
    • Fully proficient in both PVSyst and PVsol.
    • MS Office & Project tools MS Project/Smartsheets
    • Knowledge of NEC requirements.
