    Senior Export Coordinator - Cape Town HQ

    Responsibilities

    Accountabilities:

    • Specify and obtain the necessary export documentation according to a specific country/continent’s requirements.
    • Liaison with freight forwarder regarding formats and requirement of export documentation and timeous delivery thereof
    • Check the accuracy and completeness of export documentation for each shipment.
    • Processing of documents for all local and across border trucks and sea freight cargo.
    • Ensure that documents are couriered to the relevant party on a timeous basis (customer, financial institutions)
    • Update monthly marine insurance schedule
    • Maintain and update daily loadings file
    • Follow up on outstanding documentation
    • Forwarding of documents to customers via DHL
    • Working with Letter of Credit and Bank Collection clients’ documents
    •  Obtain the required COA’s (Certificate of Analysis) and COC’s (Certificate of Conformance) from the Technical Department for a required customer on a timeous basis.
    • Ensure that documents are couriered to the relevant party on a timeous basis (customer, financial institution)
    • Submission of final documents to various inspection companies
    • Update of loadings file with invoicing / billing of containers loaded the previous day.
    • Filing of export documentation in the specified format within specified time frame
    • Liaison with financial institutions (bank) regarding letters of credit and bank collections
    • Notify relevant parties via email & update loadings with detail of L/C’s received.
    • Accurate and timeous issuance of marine insurance certificates for applicable shipments
    • Update the monthly marine insurance schedule.
    • Determine accuracy, validity and completeness of all export freight forwarder and courier expense s and the authorization thereof.
    • Assist the Financial Manager: Export with functions as assigned.
    • Perform certain internal control functions as assigned by the Financial Manager: Export
    • Stock in Transit report update and daily tracking’s to determine final invoice date as per customer Incoterm internal invoice date as per customer Incoterm fulfillment.

    Qualifications

    • 3-year Tertiary Qualification
    • Computer literacy in MS Office & SAP                                                      
    • Good communication skills
    • 3 – 5 Years’ Experience in the supply chain field (preferably exports Road, Ocean and Air Freight
    • Administration - Distribution / Warehousing experience
    • People Management Skills
    • Export/Imports Experience
