Senior Financial Accountant at Weir Minerals

Purpose of Role: 

• The successful candidate will be responsible for the control and accurate processing of financial data to ensure effective and efficient performance of accounting activities that are in line with internal controls and procedures.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

• Qualified CA

Minimum Experience:     

• At least 5 years related experience post articles in a similar function
• 2 Years Experience in managing people
• ERP system experience (preferably LN BAAN)

SAP experience

• Computer literacy (MS Office Suite) – excellent working knowledge of Excel

• Orders, sales and cost of sales
• Fixed assets – (ensure that the team is complying and to the right quality level)
• General Accounting
• Banking, treasury and hedging
• System Maintenance - Review and finalize LN journals
• Statutory reporting
• Management reporting
• Financial Controls - Co-ordinate and perform compliance scorecard testing in line with the schedule per entity
• Record keeping
