Understand and implement the unit operations plan by reviewing activities, projects, and performance measures, communicating with stakeholders, and monitoring implementation daily.
Track and report on performance by monitoring progress against targets, identifying concerns, and submitting reports quarterly and as required.
Comply with policies by maintaining up-to-date knowledge, attending training, and resolving queries daily and as required.
Comply with processes by staying informed on procedures, applying them correctly, and addressing concerns daily.
Prepare monthly management reporting for the company’s value chain results by collating data, performing analysis, identifying and resolving issues, preparing reports, and submitting on time.
Complete monthly variance analysis reporting by extracting data (SAP vs management reporting, KPI targets vs actuals, results vs annual budget, prior year and forecasts), reviewing variances, addressing concerns, engaging stakeholders for corrective action, tracking implementation, and reporting progress.
Support line managers in developing budgets by negotiating requests in line with guidelines, addressing queries, and resolving issues annually.
Provide budget and forecast analysis by extracting data, conducting analysis, and preparing reports monthly.
Manage SHE (Safety, Health, and Environment) by ensuring comprehensive training is delivered, programs are completed, and any gaps or noncompliance identified during training are addressed promptly.
Monitor SHE by setting clear monitoring standards, completing all required activities on time, and resolving identified issues within deadlines.
Maintain stakeholder relationships by liaising with key internal and external parties, providing and receiving feedback, and collaborating as needed.
Maintain relationships with service providers by understanding required service levels, monitoring delivery against standards, identifying concerns, and implementing corrective actions monthly and as required.
Contribute to the team by participating in team events, identifying support needs, offering assistance, and actively engaging with team members daily.
Implement self-development activities by identifying development areas, sourcing capacity-building opportunities, obtaining approval, and successfully completing the activities.
Requirements
Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent
B Com Honours in finance, accounting or similar
CIMA / CA (SA)
7+ years within financial planning or controlling or corporate strategy
