Senior Forensic Investigator at Capitec Bank

Purpose Statement

• Independently investigate instances of risk related to various types of complex fraud incidents across Capitec Bank (e.g. internal corruption, serious breach of policies and procedures, and criminal syndicates) including investigating the matter, the parties involved and provided appropriate evidence for disciplinary hearing and/or criminal proceedings.
• Identify potential control weaknesses and recommend preventative measures, improvements and training initiatives against potential fraud to Capitec Bank.
• Coordinate and manage digital fraud investigations.

Experience
Min:

• At least 5 years experience as a Forensic Investigator in business banking with experience in internal and external fraud investigations.

Ideal:

• At least 6 years experience as a Senior Forensic investigator in business banking, with extensive experience in asset-based and rental finance, external fraud and internal fraud investigations, and experience in creating and implementing fraud prevention strategies. 

Qualifications (Minimum)

• National Certificate in Grade 12 National Certificate
• A relevant tertiary qualification in Forensics

• A relevant degree in Finance or Forensics
