Our client is a leading player in the fintech industry are currently seeking a Senior Group Accountant to join their dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work at the cutting edge of fintech in Africa, solving relevant problems for the continent and beyond.
What you'll do:
As a Senior Group Accountant, your role will be pivotal in ensuring the smooth running of our client's finance operations.
You will be responsible for:
Drive project management in the External Reporting Team
Assist in preparation of the group consolidated financial statements under IFRS
Ensure integrity and consistency of underlying reporting data
Improve/develop reports that will be useful for the business in driving informed decision making
Financial reporting to shareholders, directors, regulators and any other authorized parties on an appropriate and regular basis
Indirect management of accounting staff
What you bring:
CA(SA) with minimum 3 to 5 years post qualification experience
Extensive IFRS accounting experience
Knowledge about UK Companies Acts, accounting standards etc. is preferred
Demonstrated leadership and project management skills in a fast-moving and complex environment
Experience working in emerging markets and in multi-currency environments.
Proficiency in Xero, Netsuite and Datarails is highly desirable
Superior communication skills in English, both written and oral
